Conference Venue
The workshop will be held in the Convention Center of the Frade Hotel & Golf Resort, at Angra dos Reis, 2 1/2 hours (210 km) from Rio de Janeiro and about 4 1/2 hours (400 km) from São Paulo. The Hotel is located between Ilha's Grande bay and Bocainas mountains, in a pleasant area with many islands and beaches and is not far from Parati (43km), an old colonial village with its preserved architecture.

Transportation
The LOC will organize bus (or van) transportation to Hotel do Frade departing from the Rio de Janeiro International Airport, and IAG/USP (São Paulo) on Sunday, November 28 and leaving the Hotel for the same destinations on Friday, December 3, after lunch. If you would like to use this transportation please check the correspondent item on the Registration form.
Otherwise if you are arriving or leaving at other
days you can either come by bus or car (see instructions bellow).

The closest International Airport is the Rio de Janeiro International Airport (Antonio Carlos Jobim / formerly Galeão International Airport).
- Public Transport & Taxis in Rio de Janeiro
Visitors are advised to go to the Rio de Janeiro State Tourism Authority desk which sells prepaid taxi vouchers. There is an airport shuttle bus (Real Autobus) every hour which stops at the bus terminal, major hotels and beaches - 40-minute journey.

- By car

You can rent a car at Rio or São Paulo's Airport. It's a nice trip through the beautiful Rio-Santos highway.
Coming from Rio - you must follow the Brazil Avenue till its very end, by Santa Cruz, you take road 101 (BR 101 Rio - Santos) to Santos. Angra dos Reis is one-hour drive after the crossing of BR 101 and BrazilAvenue.
Coming from Rio but from the South Zone of the city like Barra, Jacarepaguá, Leblon, Gavea etc you can come through Santa Cruz, instead of getting on Brazil Avenue. Follow the Americas Avenue till its very end. After Santa Cruz you will find the Brazil Avenue to Rio. Return and right after the Police Station you will find BR 101 to Angra.
On the way you
will find some cities like Itacuruçá, Muriqui, Mangaratiba, Conceição de
Jacareí, Jacuecanga and other districts. Passing Verolme Shipyard you will be
ten minutes from Angra dos Reis.
The hotel is located on the same road about 73 km after Angra dos Reis (see
map).
Coming from São Paulo - The way from São Paulo is very tempting you will find many historical cities in your way that compete with Angra. Specially Parati, a piece of art of the Fluminense coast. Very beautiful.
Taking Via Dutra (or
Ayrton Senna) that will be followed most of the time. Through Caraguatatuba -
If you are not in a hurry, it is a good choice. On the way you will pass little
beach cities like Caraguatatuba itself and Ubatuba. The road is uneven,
reflecting the atmosphere of sand, salt and wind passing sometimes in those
little cities. You will take longer to get to Angra dos Reis but it's worth
it.Getting back on the coast follow the road to Angra.
Weather
information
In November the temperatures at
Angra dos Reis ranges from 20 to 27 degrees Celsius (68 - 81 F). Good weather
is expected this time of the year but strong thunderstorms can happen in the
evenings due to the proximity of the summer and increasing of the daily
evaporation.
