Dear Participants of the MFUniverse Conference,
Please read carefully the contents of this last announcement before the
meeting.
TRANSPORTATION:
Rio
de Janeiro:
Next
Sunday, November 28, there will be 3 BUSES and a VAN departing from the Rio de
Janeiro International Airport to the hotel of the Conference, Hotel do Frade,
in Angra dos Reis.
The timetable is as follows:
FIRST
BUS: departs from the National Observatory (R. General José Cristino, 77, http://www.on.br/institucional/index.html) at 11:30 AM and
arrives at the International Airport at NOON. The bus will stop at the EXIT OF
THE TERMINAL 1. Those arriving at terminal 2 should walk (indoors) to terminal
1 (it is a 10 minute-walk). There will be people from the LOC with signs of the
MFUniverse Conference in both terminals and at the parking area. In the case
you don’t see one of these people or signs, just go to the indicated place.
SECOND BUS: departs from the airport (same location) at: 14:00 HS;
THIRD BUS: departs from the airport (same location) at: 16:00 HS;
VAN (LAST SHUTTLE): departs from the airport (same location) at: 19 HS.
To those participants who are not going to use these special buses of the
conference, we remind you that the easiest way to drive safely to Angra dos
Reis is to take a taxi (less than 100 US$). You may order one at the
information desk in the airport and go straight to the Hotel of the conference
in Angra dos Reis.
Sao
Paulo:
On Sunday, November 28, there will be a BUS and a VAN departing to the
Hotel do Frade in Angra dos Reis.
The BUS will depart from the Vila Mariana Subway Station (Parking area) at
10:00 AM and go straight to the hotel do Frade in Angra dos Reis.
The VAN will pass by the Guarulhos International Airport at 12:45 HS.
It will stop at the EXIT OF THE TERMINAL 1. Likewise, there will be a
person from the LOC with a sign of the MFUniverse Conference. The next stop of
the VAN will be the Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Epaciais (INPE), in Sao
Jose dos Campos (arrival time around 13:45 HS); and after that it will go
straight to the hotel of the conference in Angra dos Reis.
On Friday, December 3, the buses will leave the Hotel to the same
destinations in Rio and Sao Paulo at 14:00 HS.
TALKS
AND POSTERS:
We will have LCD equipment and a laptop for power-point presentations and
also overhead projectors available. The speakers may bring their laptops as
well, however, to avoid the extra time for setting the laptop presentations we
strongly recommend to all the speakers to bring copies of their presentations
in CDs, pencil drivers (with USB ports), etc., so that we can install the
presentations in the available equipment before the start of the sessions.
The space available for each POSTER will be: 90 cm (width) X 120 cm (length).
