MAGNETIC FIELDS IN THE UNIVERSE:
Angra dos
Reis, Brazil, November 28 to December 3, 2004

DEADLINES
The deadline
for registration and abstract submission is JULY 30 !
All the
participants (including the invited speakers and organizers) are asked to register.
The number
of participants is limited so you are encouraged to register as soon as
possible.
The invited
speakers must also register.

The
scientific program of the Conference will focus on the following

Intergalactic magnetic fields
Magnetic

MHD
instabilities in astrophysical sources
Basic plasma
processes

Magnetic Reconnection, Dynamo Processes
A program of
outstanding review talks and speakers
has been
assembled, and a copy of the
preliminary
program can

In addition
to invited talks we plan an extended and lively discussion period in
each session
on current outstanding questions with
oral and poster contributions.
PROCEEDINGS
The
proceedings have been accepted for publication in the AIP
(American
Institute of Physics) Conference Series and will include a CD-ROM.
Invited
speakers and contributing participants will be asked to
submit a
paper right after the conference. Oral and poster contributions will
also be
included in the CD-ROM of the proceedings, and all participants will receive a
copy of the
volume accompanied by the CD-ROM. Detailed instructions and templates for paper
production
will be soon available in the homepage.
LOCATION
The
conference venue is at the Frade Hotel & Golf Resort,
in Angra dos
Reis, a beautiful and tranquil beach area, about
210 km from
Rio de Janeiro, and 400 km from São Paulo.
The location
allows easy access to a large fraction of
the
Brazilian astronomical and plasma physics community and to the foreign
colleagues
that will arrive at the Rio de Janeiro or São Paulo International Airports.
