1. We are pleased to highlight the work of Ph. D. student Luan Ghezzi 
of the Observatorio Nacional Rio de Janeiro and his colleagues who 
established that there is no detectable amount of Lithium-6 in stars 
that host extrasolar planets. The team used bHROS on Gemini South to 
make the observations:

2.  Kyoto 2009: the May 18-22 Joint Gemini Subaru Science Conference 
and Gemini Users' Meeting are approaching.  We expect about 180 
participants, about half from the Japanese community and half from the 
Gemini community. Close to 100 persons expect to join the Gemini 
Users' Meeting.   If you have not registered yet, please do so soon

3. VERY IMPORTANT REQUEST: ask your community members to review their
