SCOSTEP - 11th QUADRENNIAL STP SYMPOSIUM (comunicado por Pierre Kaufmann) Dear Colleagues in Solar-Terrestrial Physics, The SCOSTEP Bureau, Scientific Program Committee, and Local Organizing Committee happily invite you to participate in the 11th Quadrennial STP Symposium (STP-11) on "Sun, Space Physics, and Climate". At the invitation of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences, STP-11 will be held in Rio de Janeiro during 6-10 March 2006, at the Conference Center-Hotel Gloria (see 2nd Announcement: http://www.grahnoperator.com.br/events/scostep). The Preliminary Scientific Program is listed on-line in the 2nd Announcement and copies are available by e-mail upon request to the SCOSTEP Secretariat. Invited Speakers' names will be added to the Program after they accept, so it will be a living document. STP-11 will focus daily on scientific issues involved in the four main topical areas of SCOSTEP's current international scientific program"CAWSES" (Climate And Weather of the Sun-Earth System); they are: (1) Solar Influence on Climate; (2) Space Weather: Science and Applications; (3) Atmospheric Coupling Processes; and (4) Space Climatology. The fifth day will be a review of scientific results arising from Pre-CAWSES programs.
